Question: What is colonic hydrotherapy? My wife keeps talking about colonics but I really don’t understand what it entails.
Answer: Colonic hydrotherapy, or “colonic irrigation”, is a type of enema in which the bowel is flushed out with water.
During a colonic hydrotherapy treatment, a tube is inserted into the rectum and water is used to do an internal flush. Typically, different water pressure and temperatures are used and the water can also be mixed with herbs, enzymes, coffee, or probiotics.
